US STATE DEPARTMENT SLAMS AZERI GOVERNMENT FOR SENTENCING JOURNALIST ABDUCTED FROM GEORGIA

The U.S. State Department’s Spokesperson  released official statement on January 12th about the sentencing of Azeri Journalist (Afgan Mukhtarli) abducted from Georgia by Azeri Special Agents.

Spokesperson says U.S. is disturbed by Jan. 12 sentencing of Azerbaijani journalist Afgan Mukhtarli. We urge ‘s government to release Mr. Mukhtarli. We continue to follow the Georgian investigation into the reported abduction and reiterate our call that it be full, transparent & timely.

Along with abduction and kidnapping in broad daylights, Authoritarian Regime in Azerbaijan also uses INTERPOL’s international criminal warrants to pursue its critics abroad. Sad part is, it looks like they’re getting away with it. Read more : Revenge via Interpol
